The company is founded and entered in the commercial register with a focus on electronic data exchange and process optimization using local solutions.

Expanding the solution portfolio

2000
Expansion of the solution portfolio, in particular to include web-based and initial mobile application scenarios. Customers span industry, wholesale, retail, and an increasing number of assorted associations, with growing involvement in consumer goods sectors such as food, fashion, and furniture.

Entry into the SAAS business model

2003
The EBEC Service Platform was introduced as B2B service platform (predecessor of the IWOfurn platform) as well as B2B community solutions.

Foundation of IWOfurn

2007
IWOfurn is founded as a leading platform for the digitization and automation of cross-company processes and internal workflows in the furniture industry. It connects all industry participants, fostering efficiency, collaboration, and innovation across the sector.

IWOfurn Advisory Board

2008
IWOfurn strengthens its role as a permanent fixture in the furniture industry with the formation of the Advisory Board, composed of leading industry representatives.
The board advises management on the continuous development of the IWOfurn system and includes four key industry organizations: BVDM (Trade Association for Furniture and Kitchens), DCC (Data Competence Center e.V.), Mittelstandsverbund ZGV (Association of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses), and VDM (Association of the German Furniture Industry).

Expanding the solution portfolio

2008
Our Integrated Worlds and IWOfurn solution portfolio now offers comprehensive and constantly growing solution modules for networking systems and users from a wide range of companies and industries. In addition to EDI data platforms, there are now also portal solutions for web-based and mobile working. Further solutions are in the works.

Expansion of our involvement in other industries and sectors

2012
As expertise grows, new opportunities emerge, enabling expansion into the supply industries and the automotive, aftermarket, pet food, hardware, and building installation sectors.

Big Data and Business Intelligence

2012
Exploration of big data and business intelligence begins with the development of a prototype. The FURNeCorp project (2015–2018) receives funding approval from the Federal Ministry of Economics, advancing the development of data-driven solutions.

Tackling customer-supplier relationships

2018
Logistics processes are analyzed in depth and added to the solution portfolio through innovative, digitally supported innovation. The potential for efficiency gains and cost savings in both retail and industrial companies is significant.

Merger of Integrated Worlds and IWOfurn

2022
Integrated Worlds and IWOfurn have been operating under one roof since August 1, 2022. Merging to form Integrated Worlds GmbH, the goal is to combine competencies and expertise to strengthen the market position as specialists in process optimization. The merger is a logical formality, cementing the reality of a longstanding unity in purpose. Customers benefit from a broad, future-oriented product portfolio, while IWOfurn continues as a trusted brand.

Further Development of the Operating Organization

2022
An operating organization is built around big data, artificial intelligence, and business intelligence for the small and medium-sized enterprises sector. The furnFUSION project (2022–2025), receives funding approval from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
