EUDR easily implemented
How EDI procedures simplify the implementation of the EUDR
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requires all companies along the supply chain to implement due diligence measures to prevent further deforestation. Digitalization plays a key role in the efficient management, use, secure transfer, and storage of EUDR information.

Why the tasks assigned to the EUDR can only be effectively solved through collaboration and digitalization
With the Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), the European Union has set a clear goal: to drastically reduce deforestation and the loss of global forests. Every year, around 13 million hectares of forest disappear, which corresponds to more than 10 billion trees – a number higher than the total number of trees in Germany. The regulation obliges the companies concerned to ensure that products containing, for example, wood or leather do not further exacerbate this global problem.
A company cannot accomplish this task alone, as it needs information from participants upstream in the supply chain and must pass on the information it has supplemented to downstream companies. Given the enormous number of different supply chains, this can only be achieved in the long term through digitalization and standardization.

How to implement EUDR with us
How you receive EUDR information – legally compliant and on time

Why it`s not enough to start on January 1, 2026
From January 1, 2026, only goods that comply with EUDR due diligence requirements may be delivered—BUT: Goods sold to end customers from 2026 onwards will already have been delivered to retailers by manufacturers beforehand. How will you proceed if you want to sell something in 2026 that is EUDR-relevant? It is therefore important to introduce EUDR early on and integrate the data – the EU system.
Even if your company is not an SME, the following players in the supply chain are often larger and need this information from you.
Goods sold from January 1, 206 onwards are usually handled in the supply chain BEFORE that date.
If delivery is in January, it may suit you that it is not accepted.
The dangers
From January 1, 2026, only goods that comply with EUDR due diligence requirements may be delivered. Failure to comply may result in:
Up to 4% penalty on total annual turnover
Loss of customers due to long waiting times & delivery failures
New regulatory requirements can bring unexpected demands
The benefits
Automated document data exchange instead of email and PDF
No transmission or input errors, as no manual work is required
Avoiding downtime in order processing
No need for individual coordination with all your dealers
